Looking for the perfect spot to photograph your dog? These scenic locations are full of charm, variety, and dog-friendly vibes.

As a professional dog photographer who’s always scouting beautiful places with great light and space for dogs to shine, I’ve got a few go-to locations I love using throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. These spots offer a mix of open fields, rustic backdrops, and walkable charm—perfect for everything from playful portraits to meaningful moments.

Here are five of my favorite dog-friendly photo locations:

Trimborn Farm - Greendale, WI

With its rustic barns, limestone walls, and wide open fields, this historic property is full of character and charm. It's a hidden gem for timeless, countryside portraits.

Lake Vista Park – Oak Creek, WI

Overlooking Lake Michigan, this park offers clean lines, open space, and incredible light—especially at golden hour. It’s a fresh, modern setting with lots of variety.

Fox River Park - Waukesha, WI

This spot is one of my all-time favorites for a reason. Whether we’re chasing wildflowers or wandering forested trails, it’s a peaceful place for dogs to relax and just be themselves.

Mukwonago Park – Mukwonago, WI

Rolling hills, wooded trails, and tall prairie grasses make this a beautiful location year-round. It’s also one of my go-tos for reactive or quieter dogs thanks to its spacious layout.

Downtown Menomonee Falls – Menomonee Falls, WI

If you’re after a little color and texture, this walkable downtown is a fantastic backdrop. With murals, stonework, bridges, and water features, it brings a fun, urban twist to your dog’s photos.

Let’s find the perfect place to tell your dog’s story.
